Chocolate Almond Butter Brownie Mug Cake



I’ve been on a mug cake kick lately thanks to friends over on Instagram. Like every night after dinner chocolate fix. I mean, who doesn’t love a cross between a cake and a gooey brownie baked in under a minute?


Crunchy almond butter gives this version a nutty kick that’s oh so delicious.


Chocolate Almond Butter Brownie

2 Tbsp butter melted

1 1/2 Tbsp coconut sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg yolk

1 Tbsp crunchy almond butter (or nut butter of choice)

1 Tbsp (heaping) dairy free chocolate chips

3 Tbsp almond flour

3/4 Tbsp cacao powder


In a microwave safe mug, thoroughly mix first 4 ingredients together then add remaining ingredients and mix well. Microwave for 45 seconds. Let cool slightly then top with extra chocolate chips.
